Things to do in Hackney this Bank Holiday weekend

With predictions of a mixed bag on the weather front this long weekend, our advice would be to keep plans flexible.  It may well be warm enough to take a dip in the London Fields Lido and while away the hours with treats from the two on-site cafés, but if it takes a turn for the worse then you may be best to take cover with a good movie in the Hackney Picturehouse. If you’re getting together with friends, Hackney is home to a great collection of pubs and bars from which to kick-start your catch up. From gastropubs like the Prince Arthur to eclectic boozers like The Kenton – jam packed with candlelit antiques and modern curiosities, there’s somewhere for everyone to feel right at home.
